If you like Ghost Ship, you'll love this!
An immediate fruity and hoppy aroma took me straight to a sunny pub garden and a packet of nuts whilst I wait for my gastro scampi and chips to arrive. Adnams' experience emanates from my bronze glass - their sophisticated removal of the alcohol from their popular staple really outshining many other breweries. Though a bit fizzier than on-tap ale, it's not easy to tell the difference and you do feel like you're drinking a regular pint. It's flavoursome, has a decent body, and really hits the spot. If you like the alcoholic version of Ghost Ship, I think you'll love this, though you will be able to tell the difference. Friends who swear by Ghost Ship (buying it by the mini keg) tell me how very different it is and don't think it should bear the same name. However, I feel this ale has set sail on a similar course and the mainsail is most definately fully unfurled at the very least. Perhaps there is need for a little broadside action between the two. Let me know your thoughts!
